Dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles that are caused by facial muscle contraction, most commonly seen as forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes.

In order for your facial muscles to contract neurotransmitters must be packaged together (into vesicles called SNARE complexes) and released from nerves to then act on the muscle cells to produce a muscle contraction. Argireline® inhibits the formation of these complexes containing the neurotransmitter, so less neurotransmitter reaches the muscle cells, therefore fewer muscle contractions occur, making dynamic wrinkles less visible.

This inhibition of muscle contraction produces a Botox-like effect without the use of injections. Argireline® provides an effective yet less invasive way to combat dynamic wrinkles which is why it has been incorporated into Skin Management System by Dr. Strauss!
